Once upon a time, New Year was celebrated as a seasonal festival. At that time agriculture was closely related to it, because agriculture was seasonal. Later, for the convenience of agriculture and revenue collection, the Bengal census was started during the reign of Mughal emperor Akbar. The new Bengali calendar is based on the Hijri lunar calendar and the Bengali solar calendar.
In the past, Halkhata was the main festival of the Bengali New Year. This is purely an economic issue. On this occasion, they used to invite new and old customers, distribute sweets and establish business relations with them in a new way. The event is still celebrated to this day.
Originally implemented in 1556, the Bengal Son was initially known as the Fasli Son. Later, it was known as Bangabandhu. Although the history of the Bangalavarsha is associated with the agrarian rural society, it is also connected with the political history. During Pakistan's rule, the anniversary was closely associated with Bengali nationalism. And at the end of the sixties, it got a special status by organizing Chhayanaut in Ramna Batmul.

At the same time, the rainy season started on a limited scale with the initiative of Chhayanaut at the citizen level in Dhaka. After our great independence, gradually this festival began to influence the lives of the citizens. The non-communal and democratic spirit of the Bengalis began to be manifested in the anniversary of Pahela Baishakh. With the passage of time, the celebration of the year is no longer just a festival of joy and merriment, it has been established as a strong bearer of Bengali culture.
In 1989, the Institute of Fine Arts of Dhaka University took out the first anniversary joy procession, which was given the status ofhttps://www.profitableratecpm.com/d236bcpn0p?key=8e5a765d7ff36fbc4d73e1dd65ef5a52 World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO on 30 November 2016.
