Meeting with the German Ambassador

Chief Advisor German Ambassador to Bangladesh Achim Troster paid a farewell call on Muhammad Yunus. The meeting was held at the state guest house Jamuna on Wednesday (June 25).

During the meeting, the Chief Advisor congratulated the Ambassador Trustee for the successful completion of his duties. He also appreciated their contribution to the development of bilateral relations.

"Germany has always been a reliable partner in our development journey. Germany is our largest trading partner in Europe. The country has been consistently supporting the development of Bangladesh. He expressed gratitude for Germany's humanitarian assistance to the Rohingyas.

The chief adviser told the trust that even after leaving, we want to get your opinion. Be it positive or negative.

Ambassador Troster said he has worked in many important places in his professional life, but Bangladesh is really different. I am impressed by the hospitality of the people here. The investment summit was a good initiative. I wish the interim government success in the reform process. He hoped a free and fair election would be held in Bangladesh.

SDG Coordinator and Senior Secretary Lamia Morshed and Director General of the Western Europe and European Union Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Md. Mosharraf Hossain was also present there.
