Israel had no plans to kill Khamenei |
Israel's Defense Minister Yisrael Katz claimed that Israel had planned to kill Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the war, but did not get the opportunity.
Katz said this in an interview with Israeli television channel 13 on Thursday (June 26).
"We wanted to eliminate Khamenei, but there was no practical opportunity.
The interview also asked whether the United States needed permission for such an attack. "In these cases, we don't need the permission of the United States. '
Khamenei addressed the nation on Thursday. "We have defeated the fake Zionist regime in the war. ' "Iran has slapped them in the face," he said, referring to the United States. '
Khamenei is believed to have fled to a safe haven after the war began.
