Eid is being celebrated across the country.
The country's main Eid congregation was held at the mosque with the participation of more than a million worshippers. Everyone was praying in peace. At the end of the prayers, they exchanged Eid greetings.

Mamata Banerjee said, "We are secular. We don't want riots in the country. People don't want it, but political parties do. But we won't let that happen. It is the responsibility of the majority to protect the minority.
Eid is also celebrated in Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim country. Thousands of devout Muslims joined the Eid congregation shoulder-to-shoulder in the capital Jakarta amid ongoing economic instability.
A number of events are taking place in Malaysia. In the Muslim-majority country, Eid celebrations begin with the sound of gunfire.
Apart from these countries, Eid-ul-Fitr is also being celebrated in Pakistan, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Brunei. Earlier on Sunday, Eid was celebrated in various countries of the Middle East and Europe, including Saudi Arabia.
