Demand that Israel and the United States be acknowledged as the "initiators" of aggression

"Israel and the United States should be recognized as the "initiators" of the recent attacks on Iran," Tehran has demanded. On Sunday, June 29, the nation summoned the UN Security Council.


"We sincerely ask that the Security Council acknowledge the Israeli regime and the United States as the" perpetrators "of the aggression and hold them accountable for the ensuing reparations," Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote in a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

"To maintain international peace and security, the Security Council should hold the aggressors accountable and prevent the recurrence of such heinous and grave crimes," the letter continued.
