The number of children killed in Gaza by Israeli airstrikes has exceeded 500

At least 500 children have been killed since Israel launched a new military operation in Gaza in violation of a ceasefire with Hamas. This was stated by Mahmoud Bassal, spokesman for the Gaza Civil Defense. The total number of deaths during this period has crossed 1,500. Al Jazeera reported.

At least six people, including a child, were killed in Israeli air strikes on Saturday. More than 20 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.

In the latest attack, two people were killed and two children were wounded in the Tuffah area of Gaza. Two others were killed in Beit Lahiya al-Atatra in the north. Another person was killed in a drone strike in the southern Qizan an-Najjar area of Khan Yunis.
"In addition, the tents of civilians living in the so-called" "safe zone" "al-Mawasi area, declared by Israel, were attacked." Many deaths were reported.
Al Jazeera correspondent Hind Khoudari at Deir al-Balah's al-Ahli hospital said a newborn boy, Sham, who was injured in the attack, had his hand amputated and later died. Six people were killed that morning.
He said Israeli forces had issued fresh eviction orders for the Shujaiya and Khan Younis areas on Saturday.
He said the situation of women and children has worsened due to the acute shortage of medical supplies.
Ravina Shamdasani, a spokeswoman for the U.N. Human Rights Commission, said only 36 women and children were killed in Israel's 224 documented attacks in Gaza from March 18 to April 9.
