| Sylhet Test: Zimbabwe take on Bangladesh |
Nazmul Hossain Shantar taught the team how to bat. On a wicket where Brian Bennett and Ben Curran finished the day on 67 for no loss, the Tigers were in disarray - the innings folded in just 61 overs.
Despite trailing by 124 runs at the end of the first day, Zimbabwe are now in the driver's seat with 10 wickets in hand.
Bangladesh started the day well. Both openers were playing. Suddenly, Shadman Islam returned to the dressing room with a catch in the hands of Bennett off the ball of Niyauchi. 12 runs come from the opener's bat. Mahmudul Hasan, the other opener, failed to get going. He also returned with 14 runs.
Shanto and Mominul then combined to deal the initial blow. Shanto, who scored 40 runs, was dismissed by Muzarabani for 66 runs. Mushfiq also returned with 4 runs, and Mominul Haque picked up a fifty and made way for Sajaghar. Miraz and Taijul also could not stand. Hasan Mahmud was the third victim of Muzarabani who scored 19 runs.
Bangladesh were bowled out for 191 in 61 overs. Mustafizur Rahman and Mashrafe Mortaza took 3 wickets each.
