| BNP wants to know why there was a delay in giving the roadmap for the polls |
After the July coup, three student representatives joined the advisory council of the interim government. When the involvement of students in politics was becoming clear, the old parties were questioning the neutrality of the interim government. Nahid Islam resigned as the advisor of the student wing of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and took charge of the party. There are still two student representatives in government.
In such a situation, BNP thinks that the neutrality of the interim government is being questioned due to the influence of students in the government.
BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said: "We hope the neutrality of the government will not be questioned. But questions are being raised. I hope the government will look into it. That would be unfortunate. Again, this can lead to other questions.
The leaders are also questioning whether the government is
not announcing the election roadmap to implement the new party's agenda.
BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said the chief adviser wants to give them time to implement the agenda of the new political party. We are not asking questions, people are asking questions. If not, why is he delaying the roadmap? In his various activities, it is seen that the Election Commission is not cooperating.
"Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said," "When they talk about elections, there is a fear among them, then they are creating disunity in the country." "" But they are opening the way for the fascists. Ask the questions that don't arise. We all have to capture the change in the mindset of the people of Bangladesh and the aspirations that have been created.
Political leaders are talking about proving the neutrality of the interim government. Salahuddin Ahmed said that it is visible that those who are cooperating with a political party in various ways from the part of the government. People understand this. The government has to come out of this place, so that the people feel that this government is a truly neutral government. It should be made clear that the interim government is not working to implement the agenda of any political party.
Bangladesh Labour Party Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Iran said if he (the chief adviser) takes the side of the students, all the political forces of this country will see it differently. That's what we've already seen. If the students are in power, if they form a political party, that party will get a separate privilege and this is the reality. I think students need to get away from themselves.
The student representatives attached to various departments and ministries should also be removed to maintain impartiality.
