World leaders warn of trade war over Trump's tariffs

World leaders warn of trade war over Trump's tariffs

From friend to foe, no one is left out of America's so-called 'Liberation Day' tariff policy. Allies such as South Korea and Japan were also hit with tariffs of 25 percent and 24 percent, respectively. The European Union, including South Korea, Japan and Australia, reacted strongly to Trump's decision.
The outrage has spread across the world. A trade war is looming. Countries have warned of countermeasures.

"Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said," "Since 2019, our country has been the largest global investor in the United States." Japanese companies play an important role in the US economy. We're very disappointed.
South Korea's trade minister, Duk Jeun, said it was regrettable. The US tariffs will have a profound impact on global trade. We will talk to Washington as
soon as possible.
Australia has called the U.S. tariffs "completely baseless and unreasonable." The country says Donald Trump has behaved in an unkind manner.
"Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the Trump administration had" "no basis, no justification" "for the tariffs." This is against the foundation of our partnership. It's not a friend's job. Uncertainty is growing in the global economy.
The European Union has threatened to retaliate against Donald Trump's tariffs. An announcement is said to be made soon in this regard.

"European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said:" "This is a huge blow to the global economy." Global trade will be affected as well as consumers around the world. But we are ready to respond. We have already taken countermeasures against Trump's tariffs on steel and aluminum. Europe is ready to take further steps to protect business interests.
Brazil has already taken steps in this direction in Latin America. The Brazilian Parliament has also passed a law to respond to any country that imposes tariffs on the country's products.
