| 49 arrested for looting Bata, KFC institutions |
Police have arrested 49 people in connection with the looting and vandalism of Bata showrooms, KFC and other institutions across the country, including Khulna, Sylhet, Chittagong and Gazipur. This was announced in a press release on Tuesday, April 8.
They were arrested on Monday (April 7). Two cases have been registered against him. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation in the matter is underway.
Bangladesh Police has taken swift action in the wake of violent and unlawful incidents that took place during the pro-Gaza protests in different cities. These attacks and vandalism are a direct blow to public safety and the rule of law.
