Mbappe double gives Real Madrid victory

Kylian Mbappe scored two goals for Real Madrid. Ancelotti's men beat Leganes 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu at 2pm on Saturday (March 29).

Real Madrid were expected to win the game against Leganes. Real took the lead in the 32nd minute. The hosts were awarded a penalty when Oscar Rodriguez fouled Arda Guler in the box. Mbappe hits a shot past Marko Dimitrovic.
However, Leganes scored two goals in the space of eight minutes. But at the end of the half, Real were on top.
Jude Bellingham equalised two minutes into the second half. The English midfielder scored with a return shot after Brahim Diaz's attempt failed.
Mbappe's free-kick with 15 minutes to go sealed the three points for Real. He shook the net by melting the gap in the wall of Leganes. It was Mbappe's 33rd goal in all competitions. Real won the match 3-2 after being 2-1 down.
The current champions are in second place in the league table. After the international break, Real, who started the match without Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde, touched the top team Barcelona with one game less as points. Hansi Flick's side have a chance to go top on their own when they play Girona on Sunday.
Real have 63 points from 29 games. Barca have the same number of points from 28 games. Atletico Madrid are third with 57 points. 18th Leganes on 27 points.
