Bangladesh Police has issued a security advisory for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations. The law enforcers gave the suggestions to the bus-launch-train passengers and owners through a press release on Thursday (March 20).
In the press release, passengers have been advised to plan Eid travel with sufficient time. At the same time, it is discouraged to instruct the driver to drive fast considering the safety of himself and family members during the journey. The force also urged passengers to avoid travelling on the roof of buses or on trucks, pickups and other goods vehicles at the risk of their lives.

Commuters are advised to use zebra crossings or foot overbridges while crossing the road and be careful while taking food or drinks from strangers. They have also been advised to take the help of the police.
On the other hand, bus owners are requested not to allow unskilled, amateur, tired or sick drivers to drive passenger buses and cars. The driver is also requested to instruct the driver to drive according to the rules and not to do dangerous overtaking. Also, unfit vehicles should not be allowed on the roads.
Bus drivers are urged not to drive at high speed and avoid dangerous overtaking. Don't drive when tired, fatigued, or sick. Always carry a valid driver's license with you. Don't take extra passengers on the bus. They were also asked to follow the instructions of the police while moving on the regional roads and highways.

Guidelines have also been issued for passengers. Steamer-speedboat passengers are requested not to get on the boat or on the roof of the boat by being an extra passenger at the risk of life.
