81 additional Palestinians killed in Gaza in a single day In Gaza

Israeli forces have killed at least 81 Palestinians. Four others have been injured.  The attacks took place in different parts of Gaza in the last 24 hours till Saturday afternoon.  The Ministry of Health was informed about this. Al-Shifa hospital staff and witnesses said at least 11 people, including children, were killed in the attack near a stadium in Gaza City.  The stadium was being used as a shelter for displaced people living in tents.

Footage verified by the BBC showed people trying to dig through the sand with bare hands and spades to retrieve bodies.

An eyewitness said that they were sitting.  Suddenly he heard the sound of a huge explosion in the street.

Palestinian Ahmed Kishawi told Reuters that there were a lot of tents in the area; however, the tents are now hidden beneath the sand. We've been running empty handed for hours.

He stated, "There are neither people who are being sought here nor terrorists as they claim." Only civilians, children, who have been targeted with no mercy.

Another 14 people were reported killed, some of them children, in attacks on an apartment block and a tent in the al-Mawasi area.

Relatives told The Associated Press that three children and their parents were killed in the attack in al-Mawasi, who died in their sleep.

The children's grandmother, Suad Abu Teima, said, "What harm did these children do to them?  What are their reasons? More people were reported killed after an airstrike on Saturday afternoon in the Tuffah neighborhood near the Jaffa school, where hundreds of displaced Gazans had taken refuge.

The attack, according to the Palestinian health ministry, killed at least eight people, including five children. Mohammed Haboub, a witness, told Reuters that his nephew, father and the children of his neighbours were killed in the attack.

"Why are they harming us when we have not hurt them?" "" Are we hurting them?  We are individuals. The health ministry stated that movement was impossible in some affected areas, so many of the victims who were trapped under the rubble and in the streets were unable to be reached by ambulances or civil defense personnel. A two-month ceasefire collapsed in March when Israel launched a new offensive in Gaza.  The ceasefire agreement, which began on January 19, was divided into three phases, but it did not go beyond the first phase.

The second phase included the establishment of a permanent ceasefire.  The return of the remaining hostages in Gaza and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza in exchange for the Palestinians imprisoned in Israel.

A senior Hamas official told the BBC on Thursday that mediators had stepped up their efforts for a new ceasefire and hostage release deal in Gaza, but that talks with Israel had stalled.

A rally was held in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening to call for an agreement to release the remaining Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.  Organizers say it's time to end the war and bring everyone back home in one step.
