| Shakib's' Barbaad''in the grip of piracy on the first day |
Shakib Khan's film 'Barbaad' was released on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr. The film has been receiving rave reviews from the audience since its release. However, the film has been accused of plagiarism.
The film's producer Shahrin Akter Sumi filed a general diary (GD) with Gulshan police station on Tuesday afternoon. The film's director Mehedi Hasan and producer Shahrin went to the Cyber and Special Crime Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police to take action against those involved.
Director Mehedi Hasan said that the film is currently running in 120 theaters across the country. However, it is not yet clear from where the attack took place.

Producer Shahreen Akhter said that before the release of the film, an organization was given the responsibility to protect the piracy of the film. The footage has since been removed from social media. However, legal action had to be taken against those who copied from the hall.
