Russian Foreign Minister receives warm welcome from Kim Jong-un

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov meets with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. North Korea reaffirmed its full support for Russia's war in Ukraine. Al-Jazeera reported.

"On Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a video message on Telegram that Lavrov was" "warmly welcomed" "by Kim in the North Korean coastal city of Wonsan." In the video, they can be seen hugging each other.

This is the latest high-level visit to North Korea by top officials from Moscow, signalling a deepening of Russian-North Korean military and political ties.

According to the British Defense Intelligence Agency, more than 6,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed in the Ukraine war. North Korea has sent thousands of troops and conventional weapons, mainly to help in the campaign to retake Russia's Kursk region.
