The meeting of the Chief Advisor with the President of China was very successful

The bilateral meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus was very successful, fruitful and constructive.

Principal Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said this in a post on his verified Facebook page on Friday (March 28) morning.
Shafiqul Alam wrote in his post that there was a very successful bilateral meeting between Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and Chinese President Xi Jinping. A wide range of issues were discussed in the meeting. A fruitful and constructive discussion ensued.
"Xi Jinping reiterated China's support for Bangladesh's Chief Adviser and the interim government led by him," he added.
Xi Jinping said that they will encourage Chinese investment in Bangladesh. It will encourage Chinese manufacturing companies to relocate to Bangladesh. China will positively consider various important issues raised by Bangladesh. These include reducing interest rates on Chinese loans and cooperation in water resources management.
Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus arrived in China on Wednesday on a four-day official visit. This is Dr Yunus's first bilateral visit after assuming charge as the head of the interim government.
