| Netanyahu is the Prime Minister of Israel, not the President of the United States |
U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders says Washington should not go to war with Iran. He made the remarks in a post on social media on Wednesday (June 18).
"Benjamin Netanyahu is not the president of the United States," the post said. It should not determine U.S. foreign and military policy.
"If the people of Israel support his decision to start a war with Iran, that is their business and their war." The United States should not be part of it.
On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump said he had run out of patience with Tehran. He also said that his country may or may not attack Iran.
Not only this, there has also been a difference of opinion among the Americans about the attack on Iran. There have been protests in New York demanding that the United States not be involved in the attack. Earlier, anti-war protests took place in front of the White House, the official residence and office of the US president.
